Though similar to a “Robot”, CLEA’s mecha designation refers to a robot type machine that can be controlled from the inside by a pilot. Sometimes the machine can be controlled remotely which arguably would be make such a unit a drone robot. However as regards to the designations robots cannot be piloted on the inside whilst Mecha have the capability.
